This seven-day journey gathers the three faces of Nepal that first-time visitors most want to see: the temple-rich Kathmandu Valley, the lakeside calm of Pokhara beneath the Annapurna range, and the subtropical wilds of Chitwan National Park. You begin among the UNESCO-listed squares and shrines of Kathmandu, drive west to Pokhara for an Annapurna sunrise from Sarangkot and a day by Phewa Lake, then descend south to Chitwan — a UNESCO World Heritage reserve of sal forest and grassland where the one-horned rhino, deer, crocodile and more than 680 bird species live. A jeep safari, a dugout-canoe paddle on the Rapti, a guided jungle walk and a Tharu cultural evening fill the wildlife days. It is an easy, comfortable route ideal for families and first-time visitors to Nepal — every TempleFront departure private to your group, run by the same family team since 1996.

Important Notes
- Best season: October–November (clear skies and wildlife visibility) and March–May. Avoid full monsoon (July–August) for Chitwan jungle activities.
- Fitness: Easy. Driving tour with gentle walking. Chitwan jungle walk (2–3 hrs) is the most active portion — flat terrain.
- Chitwan clothing: wear neutral, muted colours (greens and browns) for jungle activities — bright colours and strong scents disturb wildlife. Bring insect repellent, a sun hat and closed walking shoes.
- Wildlife is wild: rhino, deer, crocodile and abundant birdlife are very likely on a full-day safari; tigers and leopards are present but rarely seen, and no sighting can be guaranteed. Always follow your naturalist on foot.
- Chitwan offers a range of activities; we are happy to arrange responsible, low-impact options such as jeep safaris, canoe trips and guided walks — tell us your preferences when you book.
- Nepal visa: available on arrival at Kathmandu airport. USD 30 (15 days) / USD 50 (30 days). Bring 2 passport photos and USD cash.
- Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended, including emergency evacuation.
- Permits: Site entry fees only (included in your package). No trekking permits required.

Is this a private tour?
Yes — every TempleFront itinerary is run exclusively for your group. We never combine you with other travellers.
Can the itinerary be customised?
Absolutely. Routing, hotel tier, duration, and activities can all be adjusted to suit your group.
What wildlife can I expect at Chitwan?
Chitwan National Park is home to one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, elephants, sloth bears, leopards, crocodiles, and over 680 bird species. Rhino sightings on a full-day safari are almost guaranteed. Tiger sightings are possible but cannot be promised.
Is malaria a concern at Chitwan?
The risk in Chitwan is low but present during monsoon (June–September). We recommend consulting a travel doctor before your trip. Insect repellent and light long-sleeve clothing for evening walks are advisable year-round.
Do I need a Nepal visa?
Most nationalities receive a visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days. Bring two passport photos and USD cash.
What meals are included?
Breakfast and dinner are included at your hotels throughout the tour. Lunch is on your own account — your guide will recommend the best local options.
Is travel insurance required?
