A full day among the Kathmandu valley's UNESCO World Heritage sites — Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and a Durbar Square.

Drive to Nagarkot; sunset

An afternoon drive up to the Nagarkot ridge (2,195 m) for sunset over a Himalayan skyline that, on a clear day, stretches from Dhaulagiri toward Everest.

Sunrise; Bhaktapur; drive to Pokhara via Manakamana

A Himalayan sunrise from Nagarkot, then the medieval city of Bhaktapur with its potters' square, before the drive west to lakeside Pokhara with a stop at the hilltop Manakamana temple.

Sunrise at Sarangkot; Pokhara sightseeing

An early drive up Sarangkot for sunrise over the Annapurnas and Machhapuchhre, then Pokhara's lakeside sights — Davis Falls, the Gupteshwor Cave, and the World Peace Pagoda.

Drive to Lumbini

A long drive south-west out of the hills onto the Terai plains to Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Lumbini sightseeing (Maya Devi Temple, monastic zone); drive to Chitwan

Explore the sacred garden — the Maya Devi Temple, the Ashokan Pillar, and the international monastic zone where many nations have built monasteries — then drive east to Chitwan National Park.

Jungle safari (full day)

A full day of wildlife — a jeep or dugout-canoe safari for one-horned rhino, deer and crocodile, the elephant breeding centre, and birdwatching along the Rapti river.

Drive back to Kathmandu

A long but scenic drive back to Kathmandu along the Mugling highway, with a free final evening in Thamel.

  • Best season: October–November (clear mountain views) and March–May. Chitwan wildlife sightings are excellent October–March.
  • Fitness: Easy. Driving and sightseeing tour. The Chitwan jungle walk (flat, 2–3 hrs) is the most active portion.
  • Nepal visa: available on arrival at Kathmandu airport. USD 30 (15 days) / USD 50 (30 days). Bring 2 passport photos and USD cash.
  • Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended, including emergency evacuation.
  • Permits: Site entry fees only (included in your package). No trekking permits required.

Yes — ten days gives full days in each of Nepal's four key destinations: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan. It is our most comprehensive cultural and nature circuit, ideal for a first Nepal visit.

Do I need a Nepal visa?

Most nationalities receive a visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days. Bring two passport photos and USD cash.

What meals are included?

Breakfast and dinner are included at your hotels throughout the tour. Lunch is on your own account at local restaurants.

Is travel insurance required?

Not mandatory but strongly recommended. Comprehensive cover including emergency evacuation is best practice.
